Moving in Library Spaces
Pulse Path
The Pulse Path project is designed to increase physical activity and foster community cohesion by working collaboratively with local stakeholders.
Our goal is to provide accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable physical activities tailored to the needs of underrepresented community members.
This initiative aims to close the gap in physical activity provision and address long-standing inequalities in sport and community health.

Our Communities
The Pulse Path project will work with five communities:
Belgrave
St Matthews area in Leicester
Braunstone Town
Lutterworth
Blaby
Loughborough
We anticipate improvements in physical fitness parameters, including balance, flexibility, strength, and stamina.
By creating opportunities for everyone to participate, regardless of skill level, we aim to create a more active, connected,
and supportive community.
If you are interested in attending one of our groups in these localities, please contact us:

Inclusive, Non-Competitive Physical Activities
The Pulse Path project directly responds to the need for more inclusive, non-competitive, and emotionally enriching physical activity options. Our activities not only promote physical fitness but also encourage participants to engage with the outdoors, enhancing mental health, well-being, and environmental awareness.
Nature Connectedness
People with high levels of nature connectedness are happier, more satisfied with life, have greater vitality, experience less anxiety, and exhibit increased self-esteem and resilience. These individuals are also more empathetic and likely to develop pro-social behaviour. Through our project, we provide a supportive platform for self-expression, personal growth, and wellness.

Activities and Benefits
Yoga, dancing, and walking are core activities that can positively influence health, emotional well-being, and energy levels. These activities also improve social skills and build stronger connections within the community.
This autumn, we began our work in Braunstone Town and Belgrave, and we are excited to share participant feedback soon!
